Overview: The goal of treatment is for the offender to understand their behavior, take responsibility for their behavior, and increase motivation to change their harmful behavior and learn the skills necessary to control their deviancy. FACT"s ASO program is based upon current ATSA guidelines and standards. We divide our program into three levels and each participant must complete the required levels to progress in the program. The levels are as follows:
Level 1: Focuses on denial, talking about the abuse, being accountable for your offense and looking at the effect abuse has had on others.
Level 2: Focuses on victim empathy, skill building, and continuing the focus on accountability.
Level 3: Higher moral reasoning, self-awareness, participation, and self-disclosure.
